Whitney George has been the Senior Managing Director of Sprott Inc. since August 2, 2017. He also currently serves as Senior Portfolio Manager and Chairman of Sprott Asset Management USA Inc. He served as Executive Vice President and Chairman of Sprott USA at Sprott Inc. from January 21, 2016 until August 2, 2017 and as Senior Portfolio Manager until January 21, 2016.
George joined Royce and Associates as an Analyst in 1991. From 2009 to 2013, he served as a Director of Investments, Managing Director and Portfolio Manager, and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Royce & Associates. He also served as Vice President of The Royce Fund – Royce European Small-Cap Fund and as Vice President of Royce Global Value Trust, Inc. and its Independent Director since 2013.
George has also held positions at Dominick & Dominick, Inc., WR Lazard & Laidlaw, Inc. in Hamilton, Bermuda, Laidlaw, Adams & Peck in Belgium, and Oppenheimer & Co. Inc in New York City.
